Why isn't Spitzer running for President NOW??

Who? What? When? The "who" is Governor Spitzer of New York. The "what" is for President. The "when" is now. Yes, we wish Governor Spitzer was running for President in 2008, and not waiting until 2012! Ok, we admit we are ambitious and optimistic. It has been said before about us, and it isn't the worst thing we have heard about ourselves. Check out the article, Gay Rites Will Help Families, which begins as follows in the New York Times:

Legalizing gay marriage would "only strengthen New York's families," according to Governor Spitzer, who laid forth his most detailed argument in favor of recognizing same-sex relationships in a legislative memo.

Mr. Spitzer, who late last month became the nation's first governor to propose legislation legalizing gay marriage, articulated a legal and moral argument in defense of the bill in a two-page "statement in support" that is being distributed to lawmakers.

Ok, do you have any better ideas? None of the other choices, on either the Republican or Democratic side, are willing to fully embrace us. How can we increase the creative tension that can impact this situation with our politicians? What can you, as an individual, do?

The most impactful thing is to share your authentic life with friends and family. Live as the gift that you are. You, your friends and your family are the ones who create the wind that changes the direction for politicians who hold up their finger to see which way the wind is blowing before deciding their stance.
